One of the major activities of ANMA is to serve the Nepalese community by holding yearly conventions in cities, primarily of the Midwest region of the United States during the Memorial Day weekend. These yearly conventions have provided opportunities for resident Nepalese and friends of Nepal to mingle, get to know each other, enjoy the various cultural/social/sporting activities, discuss important issues related to Nepal and the concerns of the second generation Nepalese growing up in US.

Starting in 2005, ANMA joined hands with Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA)  in organizing joint conventions. The joint conventions are held during the Labor Day weekend every year.
